THE AWARDS

This year the What's On Awards, supported by Dubai First, marks its tenth anniversary and a decade of celebrating the UAE's hospitality and entertainment industry. Since launching in 2001, over two million people have cast their votes for their favourite, restaurants, bar, club, festival, concert and event - a fabulous reflection of the region's ever expanding hospitality and entertainment arena.

Industry wide respect for the coveted What’s On Awards is clearly reflected in both the phenomenal response to this annual event and the respect given from those in the business. A major contributing factor is the unique transparency and fairness with which the Awards are allocated.

Voting is conducted by the public, with all votes independently counted and audited by Jacobsons Direct Marketing Services and then counter-verified by a special panel of impartial industry experts. What sets the Awards apart is down to the people who vote – the What’s On Awards are, and will, remain the people’s choice awards.
